Grandbeing releases her large HDMI signal distribution system. So far the standard system will create 32 or 64 standard HDMI outputs. In future the number would be up to 128 or even more. This is the first high density HDMI splitting system in the industry.
With HDMI is getting more and more popular. Many applications request for high density HDMI signal splitting equipment, such as for digital signage system or in shop demonstration for TV sellers. For a large or high density HDMI splitting system, several issues must be considered.
1) Multi sources and multi sinks. This is not a single switch or splitter can do this job. A routing function matrix is needed to organize the inputs and outputs. The output should have the ability to choose different source without interfere others.
2) EDID fixing function, since there will be many sinks to be connected to the system. The system should have the ability to balance the different sinks and give out the correct video and audio. The EDID mixing function is just for this purpose. EDID learning and passing by function are also for solving such kind of problems. For those sinks that can not be used with previous source, using the embedded EDID in the system, this kind of incompatible problem can also be fixed.
3)IR passing by function. For this system, the user can use remote to control the source at the sink end, or control the switching among sources.
4)Cabling system. To a high density HDMI distribution system, using standard HDMI becomes impractical. This system can use either single or dual UTP cable(Cat5E/Cat6) to transmit HDMI signal. That make the cabling very easy and convenient, also make the cost to be the lowest.
